Who we are

Jesus said: Love God. Love Everybody.

This is the vision of Shepherd of the Hills. It's that simple, and that complicated.

Our vision comes directly from Jesus’ Great Commandment to his followers to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself.”

We believe the vision to “Love God, Love Everybody” is not only the guiding light for us as a faith community, but it’s a way of living out our faith that fully expresses the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Jesus welcomed everyone to the table, and we feel it’s our calling as a church family to do the same.
We are affiliated with the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. (PCUSA), you can learn more about what that means for what we believe here.

We believe in the power of love. Period.

Through love, we are each created in God’s image and filled with the divine spirit. No matter where we are on our journey, God’s imprint is in every person of every race/ethnicity, every culture, every religion, every gender and gender identity, every socio-economic status, every ability and disability, every sexual orientation, and every political ideology.
