Director Of Children’s Ministry
We are hiring a full-time children’s director to lead an amazing team. Someone who loves children and has a passion to disciple kids and create fun, Christ centered learning experiences. We are seeking someone who has the ability to recognize, encourage and use diverse spiritual gifts of the children, parents and volunteers, understands the educational and developmental needs of children, and has the energy and passion to transform the lives of children and their families. PART TIME
Weekday Preschool Substitutes
Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church Preschool is hiring for several substitute positions for the school year. Applicants must have experience with young children and a high school degree or equivalent. The preschool meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30 am-1:30 pm. Child Care Professionals
Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church is seeking experienced child care professionals to build, strengthen and foster connections with families of young children and the SHPC community. Members of this team will provide direct care for children that ensures child safety, comfort and developmentally appropriate practices. The Nursery Care team at SHPC fulfills faith formation responsibilities, including leading weekly Bible story lessons and activities that encourage the creativity and imaginations of this age group. Work opportunities will be offered weekly on Sunday mornings and will run through early afternoons. Christmas Eve, Easter Sunday and additional holidays falling on a Sunday will be paid at time and a half holiday rate.
Members of this team embrace and celebrate all children in the ways in which they are spiritual children of God: beloved and made in God’s image.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Setting up assigned areas for children
-Greeting families warmly upon arrival
-Engaging children in interactive play and learning activities
-Meeting each child’s physical and emotional needs while in care
-Reviewing weekly leader materials and preparing for in-person lessons

Requirements:
Experience working with young children (paid or volunteer). Coursework or background in child development, children’s ministry and/or education. Care team members must be individuals who possess a love for children and a desire to share Christ’s love. Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice is necessary. Must consent to and pass a criminal history background check.
