Mission Coordinator
The Mission Coordinator is a full-time position responsible for the coordination of the mission projects, programs, events and activities of Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church. The Mission Coordinator will also provide administrative support for the Mission Team, and will work in conjunction with the team to foster a culture of service and compassion to those outside our faith community.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Serves as the general contact for inquiries into mission projects,
programs, events and activities.
• Coordinates with various ministry groups in the congregation to involve them in missions.
• Acts as the primary staff liaison to the Mission Team, and attends all Mission Team meetings.
• Acts as a secondary liaison to outside partner organizations.
• Monitors the Mission budget, and works with the Financial Coordinator to keep members of the Mission Team informed as to the status of both budgeted and designated mission funds.
• Completes minutes from monthly mission meetings, and monthly Session reports.
• Staffs the Mission table/booth on Sunday mornings.
• Works with the Communications Coordinator to ensure that mission projects, programs, events and activities are being communicated effectively.
• Attends weekly staff meetings.
Knowledge, Skills, & Characteristics Required
• Communication (written and verbal), organizational, administrative and computer skills.
• Detail-oriented, entrepreneurial and skilled at getting work done with and through others.
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with SHPC staff, volunteers, members of the congregation and outside organizations.
• Punctual, pressure-tolerant and dependable in meeting deadlines and goals.
• Demonstrating a mature personal spiritual relationship with God and a deep commitment to Jesus Christ and His Church, and willing to uphold the reformed tradition of the church.
• A passion for missions and a desire to see others participate in the mission programs, projects, events and activities of SHPC.

Weekday Preschool Substitutes
Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church Preschool is hiring for several substitute positions for the school year. Applicants must have experience with young children and a high school degree or equivalent. The preschool meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30 am-1:30 pm. Child Care Professionals
Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church is looking for experienced child care professionals to provide care for nursery and preschool age children during Sunday morning worship, and regularly scheduled classes and events on weekday mornings, evenings, and occasionally Friday or Saturday nights. Flexible shifts are available.
Work opportunities will be held at the William Cannon campus in South Austin.
The right candidate will meet the following criteria:
-Experience working in and an understanding of developmentally appropriate early childhood settings
-A love of children & building relationships with families in a Christian environment
-Energetic & positive demeanor
-Outstanding written & verbal communication skills
-Neat, professional appearance
-Reliable transportation
