BIBLE STUDIES

Seeking: Honest Questions for Deeper Faith
Mondays | 7PM | Cafe
Begins Feb 27
An Intergenerational Lenten Group led by Morgan Reeves. This will be a devotional style group and will meet weekly on Monday nights through the season of Lent, in the church cafe.
This Lent we are seeking: seeking clarity, seeking wisdom, seeking justice, seeking a love that makes us whole. American Christians have a history of wanting answers and defendable apologetics. Many of us have lost the practice of seeking, or have no idea where to start. This intergenerational group is for those looking to embark on a spiritual quest, one which invites us to look with fresh eyes at our life and the world, and listen for the longing in our souls. All you need to begin is a willing heart.

Jesus In The Gospels
Mondays | 10:30AM-12 | Portable B
Begins Feb 27
This study focuses on the portraits of Jesus found in the four Gospels. The word in used in the title signals that this study takes an approach different from the familiar “life and teaching of Jesus” approach of reading stories and accounts of what Jesus said and did in order to draw conclusions of their meaning about who Jesus was. This study looks at the way each Gospel writer presents events and teaching and at the picture of Jesus that emerges in each of the Gospels.

Men’s Bible Study
MERE CHRISTIANITY
Sundays | 11:30AM | In-Person & Zoom
Begins JAN 8
The Men’s Bible study will continue meeting in January and plan to study C.S. Lewis’ book Mere Christianity starting on January 8, 2023.
In the classic Mere Christianity, C.S. Lewis, the most important writer of the 20th century, explores the common ground upon which all of those of Christian faith stand together. Bringing together Lewis’ legendary broadcast talks during World War Two from his three previous books The Case for Christianity, Christian Behavior, and Beyond Personality, Mere Christianity provides an unequaled opportunity for believers and nonbelievers alike to hear this powerful apologetic for the Christian faith.
