SHPC is sponsoring three mission trips to Guatemala this summer. See if one of these mission experiences is right for you!
June 16 – 23 :: Join the Guatemala Partnership Mission Trip sponsored by Mission Presbytery. We will be building a Bible study hall in Elim, developing a new cultural awareness, and sharing Christ’s love with the Mayan people of Guatemala. The price of the trip is $850 which includes plane fare, food, and lodging. SHPC has scholarships for this trip. Space is limited to 10 persons, so apply as soon as possible.
July 7 – 14 :: During this trip, we will share the gospel, bring the good news of clean water, and teach sanitation in concert with our Guatemalan Partner, the Maya Quiche Bible Institute. No skills required, just a desire to serve and share. Deadline to sign up is May 6.
July 29 – August 5 :: SHPC is teaming up with Memorial Presbyterian Church in Fredericksburg to install a new water system at a primary school in San Andres Itzapa. If you like to use your hands, share with children, and be immersed in the work of the church, this trip is for you. Deadline to sign up is June 10. Expenses include airfare (usually about $500), lodging and meals (about $35 per day). The church pays for the cost of the projects and in-country transportation. A limited number of scholarships are available.
