Mission to Guatemala

The SHPC Mission Committee works in two ways to support Mission Presbytery's partnership with the Presbyterian Church in Guatemala.  Both are designed to provide important assistance to Mayan Indian churches and villages. [ jump to Living Waters ]

The Living Waters Guatemala team, an SHPC-based mission effort, works to provide a water purification system and sanitation education to villages and schools in Guatemala.  Currently Living Waters seek individuals with the following skills:

• Electrician, or just good with electrical stuff
• Spanish language
• Educator
• Generally handy person, good with tools and projects.

Living Waters is undertaking THREE trips for Summer 2007! Continuing our partnerships, we will continue our project to improve water treatment systems, initiate a water sales process, and plan for educational opportunities.
