Pastor's Note about the proposed new land:

Dear friends and family,

After many hard months of prayer and searching we are excited to announce that the land acquisition committee has found a piece of land in our area that seems to fit the current and future needs of SHPC.

As the committee searched they found that the average price for land the size we needed was between 3- 4 million dollars! The parcel of land that we are considering is five miles from our door step and is being sold for $750,000. It is a property approx. 69 acres right off of Highway 290. Going west on Highway 290, the land is between Tara Drive and Ledgestone Terrace and includes the firework stand. (When you see the firework stand you will be passing by the property.)

Why 69 acres? Due to SOS regulations we would only be able to develop about 15% of the land with impervious cover. 69 acres gives us just about what we need (and more)! We don't want you to go out and walk over it just yet, but soon. We have entered into the due diligence process to make sure that we could develop it to meet the needs of the future church. We ask that you would continue to be praying for the leaders and the future of SHPC as we seek God's guidance in all we do.
