At Shepherd of the Hills, we believe that “Worship Plus Two” creates a deeper connection with the church and fosters greater spiritual depth.
What is Worship Plus Two? We like to say that a disciple does 5 things:
Worship, Grow, Connect, Serve, and Invite.
If we worship on Sunday morning, then we also do two more things to grow (through studies or Life Groups), connect (through fellowship events and groups), serve (within the church or with our many mission partners) and invite others (friends, neighbors, coworkers and acquaintances) into our faith community, then we are doing Worship Plus Two, becoming greater disciples with a deeper connection to our faith.
But where do you begin? Great question! Below is a list of areas that almost always need volunteers. Please contact the resource directly to ask how you can help.
We have a number of standing committees that are chaired by current session Elders, and each has a staff resource. You may contact either the chair or the staff resource to find out how you can be involved.
Please note that we have a web page for each of our mission partners on this website. Just click on the Mission link in the main navigation at the top of the page for a list of mission organizations we are involved with. Click on those names for more information, including the contact person for each.
