A letter from our Director of Children's Ministry ...

Hi!  Welcome to UpStreet, our Sunday School program here at Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church (SHPC).   Because it is the mission of our Children’s Ministry to encourage children’s spiritual, emotional and intellectual growth through fellowship, learning and service of Christ, we gear our year-round programs and events to provide these crucial foundations for faith.  We want to equip children with Christian education and values that will enable them to develop a deeper knowledge and love for God and the Church.  We feel that children are one of our most precious gifts from God, and we are committed to making children a priority by creating an environment that is fun, safe and nurturing, where every child feels loved by God and embraced by God’s people.  

Currently, around 80 children attend our classes at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. We offer classes for children from age 2 through 5th grade, with each one teaching Scripture in an age-appropriate manner. Take-home materials are available to parents so the Bible stories can be reviewed and strengthened at home the other six days of the week.
